Professional licenses are registered through the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP), while specialty certification is conducted through the corresponding recognized medical specialty council.

For Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, the certifying council is CMCPER. Patients may independently consult certification records and their current status through the official CMCPER and CONACEM resources.

Professional licensing and specialty certification provide complementary information about a physician's qualifications. Patients are encouraged to independently verify both before considering a surgical procedure.
