INDIVIDUALIZED SURGICAL PLANNING

Why Surgical Costs May Vary

The same procedure may require a different surgical plan from one patient to another. Anatomy, previous surgery, procedure extent, operating time, anesthesia, facility requirements and postoperative care may all influence the final fee.

01 — PROCEDURE EXTENT
The area treated, amount of correction required and overall extent of surgery can influence the time and resources needed.

03 — OPERATING TIME
More extensive procedures may require additional operating-room and anesthesia time.

05 — IMPLANTS & SPECIALIZED MATERIALS
When indicated, implants, medical devices or specialized materials may influence the final surgical estimate.

02 — PREVIOUS SURGERY
Secondary or revision procedures may require additional planning because of scar tissue, altered anatomy, implants or previous surgical changes.

04 — ANESTHESIA & FACILITY REQUIREMENTS
Anesthesia, operating-room resources and postoperative observation are determined according to the procedure and individual clinical needs.

06 — COMBINED PROCEDURES
Combining procedures requires individualized assessment of surgical duration, recovery and patient safety rather than a predetermined package price.

For this reason, published ranges are intended for preliminary planning only. Final surgical fees are established after individualized evaluation.
